SEOUL, Dec 18 (Reuters) - Indonesians cannot expect the rupiah to recover levels seen a few years ago but should adjust to its value at 11,000 to 11,150 against the U.S. dollar, the country's vice finance minister said on Wednesday.
'Indonesians cannot expect 1 dollar at 9,000 rupiah like in 2011,' Bambang Brodjonegoro told a conference in Seoul. 'Of course it is hard but of course currency should reflect economic fundamental of Indonesia.'
The rupiah was bid at 12,155 per dollar at 0236 GMT, its weakest intraday level seen since late 2008, Thomson Reuters data shows.
